Here is the story behind Kim Kardashian’s disastrous evening at Vienna Opera Ball earlier this year: News recently surfaced via TMZ that Kim reportedly left the Vienna Opera Ball with her mom Kris Jenner after a white man dressed in blackface pretended to be Kanye West which made things very awkward for the Kardashians.
A clip from next Sunday’s Keeping Up With The Kardashian episode also surfaced today and in the forthcoming episode, the camera follows them to the Vienna Opera Ball where the two were guests of billionaire Richard Lugner. It was supposed to be a classy event but the man in blackface makes things very uncomfortable for Kim:
“That’s like, not cool,” says Kim in the video, about the man in blackface. “I just am so confused, I don’t get him or anyone else would find this funny.”
She and her mother left the ball after that second racist incident that can be watched here. A reporter saying he wanted to dance to “N****rs in Vienna.”
Must feel good to be a taylor…

Ab-Soul stopped by The Source’s offices yesterday on the eve of the release of his brand new album, These Days, to chat with us about several topics, including how he ended up putting Rick Ross on his “Nevermind” record (which also features BJ The Chicago Kid), having the awareness to create an album so focused on the events–both negative and positive–of society #thesedays, and how it differs from his process of creating other albums. Also, he dropped an interesting tidbit: he’s already created two LongTerm albums, and he went on to say LongTerm 4 will be his last album. He’s admittedly already begun the conceptual process of creating LongTerm 3, so no word on when exactly that will be, but it got us thinking. Is Ab-Soul considering early “retirement”?
Also, we’d like to formally welcome you all to the new and improved The Sour. Our release date happened to coincide with Ab-Soul’s so we decided to talk chat a little bit about each other’s ventures, and Ab had a very dope story about just how important The Source was–and still is–to him. We welcome you to The Source 3.0 with some help from the insightful and prolific Ab-Soul. Get your copy of These Days here.
Showtime comes out with a new documentary about teens that airs July 10th.
This documentary, ‘Kidnapped for Christ’ which is produced by Lance Bass focuses on young teens who were forced to be sent to a camp in the Dominican Republic just because they seemed to be “troubled”. This camp-like boarding school has stirred up a lot of controversy. It is supposed to be a Christian behavior modification program where the young teens are supposed to be reeducated.
Filmmaker, Kate Logan was able to spend a summer on campus and speak to some of the teens and see what it’s really like at this camp that they’ve been forced to go to. While there, Kate speaks to some of the teens and asks them about their story. She meets David who is 17 years old and was sent to the program shortly after he came out to his parents. She also met a 16-year-old, Tai from Boston who was experimenting with drugs, and was sent to the camp.
After speaking to these kids and seeing that this camp is no good, and is down right cruel, especially after hearing about rumors of physical abuse, Logan is determined to help one child escape from this nightmare of a program.
The documentary has been awarded the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2014 SlamDance Film Festival, and also named the Special Jury Award Winner at the 2014 Nashville Film Festival. The film was also executive produced by Mike C. Manning and Tom DeSanto.

Wiz Khalifa‘s new album, Blacc Hollywood, has been teased since he put out the video for “Old Chanel” last year, but once “We Dem Boyz”–one of the bigger rap records of the year–impacted, it was pretty plain to see that Wiz had a master plan to make sure that his third album was a big one. Now, after performing at Summer Jam, and releasing a 28-track mixtape, aptly titled 28 Grams, just a few weeks ago, he’s ready to push forward with his second single, which features, Juicy J & Project Pat-uh, who join Khalifa Man on his latest record.
“KK” will be featured on Blacc Hollywood, which is hitting later this summer.
