Watch Taraji P. Henson & Terrence Howard’s Lip Sync Battle

Our beloved Empire co-stars, Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard were very impressive on LL Cool J’s Lip Sync Battle.

Taraji sung Mary J. Blige’s “Just Fine” and brought out the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul to aide with the feel good song. His cameo to Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” didn’t stand a chance after Taraji’s performance with her special guest.

In round 2, Terrence dressed up like Rick James and sung The Commodores “Brick House”. Meanwhile, Taraji got all glamorous and sung “Material Girl”. And of course, the duo couldn’t leave without singing their oscar-winning hit “Hard Out Here For a Pimp” from the movie Hustle & Flow.

Check out the two go head to head on the season finale of Lip Sync Battle above.

Watch the Latest Season 2 Trailer for ‘Empire’

America’s favorite family is back

Lee Daniels‘ record-setting drama, Empire, starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, will be returning for a much-anticipated second season, and above, you can watch its latest trailer.

The show that gripped the nation, about a high-profile record label run by a defunct family whose closeted skeletons include murder, sickness, adultery and prison, quickly developed a cult-like fan base, brought so much attention to the music used within the show that the artists became stars in real life, highlighted by their own BET Awards segment.

Terrence is in an orange jumpsuit, the brothers are torn as to whom the family should look to for leadership, and Cookie is wreaking havoc, as expected.

Taraji P. Henson is Starring in a New Civil Rights Drama

Taraji keeps moving on up like the Jeffersons..

Empire star Taraji P. Henson is set to star in a Civil Rights drama titled The Best of Enemies: Race and Redemption in the New South. Empire producer Danny Strong is apart of the project as well as Tobey Maguire and Matthew Plouffe.

Taraji is playing Ann Atwater who is a prominent Civil Rights activist for those who don’t know.  Atwater’s life was changed after she went head to head with Ku Klux Klan leader C.P. Ellis for a decade about a school desegregation decree. From the plot and the title, I’m assuming that the film will be focused on this feud.

There are no details on the release of the project but I am sure it will be a delight because Taraji stars in it.

Taraji P. Henson Hospitalized on Friday, Says She Was “Doing Too Much”

Don’t worry, Cookie is okay

Friday evening, via an Instagarm post, news broke that Taraji P. Henson had been hospitalized from what looks like a bout of exhaustion, judging from her caption.

taraji hospital

God has a way of saying “you’re doing too much!” “SAT DOWN SOMEWHERE”. I’m listening Father!!! I am taking several seats!!! Don’t worry y’all I’m a tough cookie! HA! I will be just fine. My momma and best friends are flying in to check on me. I AM FINE!!!!!!! Just need to SAT ALL THE WAY DOWN for a bit. #listentoyourbody

She appears to be in good spirits, so there doesn’t appear to be much to worry about here. Take it easy “Cookie.” Speaking of which, after ridiculous cancellation rumors, Empire, the FOX drama Henson stars in with Terrence Howard, is set to return for Season 2 on September 23. Can’t wait.

[Spoiler Alert] Cookie Has a New Love Interest On ‘Empire’ Season 2

It seems like season 2 of Empire is going to be focusing a lot on Cookie Lyon.

When we last left off on Empire, Cookie was obviously still in love with Luscious after he left her twisting in the wind but she finally came to the conclusion that he’s no good for her. Then, the security guard Malcolm DeVeaux played by Derek Luke, wanted to put his hand in the cookie jar but Luscious nipped that in the bud once he found out.

Now, the latest news on the second season of Empire suggests that Cookie will have a new love interest played by Adam Rodriguez. Rodriguez will play a former EMT who an unnamed producer described as, “a smooth-talking concert promoter with expert hustler skills.”

Rodriguez starred alongside Taraji P. Henson in Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself, in case you’re wondering where you know him from.

So many teases are revealing a lot more drama is in stored for the Lyons plus a bunch of iconic musical guests.

“Empire” Season 2 airs Sept. 23 at 9 p.m.  on Fox.

Sandra Bullock, Taraji P. Henson, Laverne Cox & Others Named PEOPLE’s 2015 “Most Beautiful”

Today People Magazine released it’s annual “World’s Most Beautiful List,” where Sandra Bullock was named “the world’s most beautiful woman” for 2015.

Of course there were some other equally awesome women who also made the list:

Gabrielle Union

The Being Mary Jane actress, who starred alongside Chris Rock in Top Five, is not only talented and stunning but also hilarious and down-to-earth. When asked by PEOPLE if she would ever enter the reality-TV circuit with husband Dwyane Wade, she responded: “A cuddle show, where we just cuddle and watch HGTV. That would be like our saucy reality show.”

Taraji P. Henson

Henson may not have a lot of love for her character on Empire – “No, I hate that b—-. She’s stolen my identity!”, she told Seth Meyers – but the actress’ captivating portrayal of Cookie has finally put Henson directly in the limelight, where she belongs. The actress, who’s a longtime Hollywood veteran, never fails to charm us with her beauty and sharp wit.

Laverne Cox

The actress has left a big impression on Hollywood (and America) in a very short amount of time. Cox’s skillful performance as Sophia on Orange Is the New Black and her work advocating for transgender women make her one of our boldest beauties yet.

The other awesome women that made the list: Vanessa Hudgens, Ariana Grande, Shay Mitchell, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Meghan Trainor,  and GiGi Hadid.

Lee Daniels and Taraji P. Henson Premieres Empire At Series Mania in Paris

Lee Daniels and Taraji P. Henson went to Paris to show Empire at Series Mania.

Series Mania is a festival where upcoming and current comedies and dramas from all over the world are screened in Paris. Last night, Lee Daniels showed the French viewers two episodes of the record-breaking smash hit Empire. They were also blessed with a sneak peek of season 2, which will be focused on the story of the beloved Cookie Lyon. Afterwards he surprised the audience and brought out Cookie herself. The crowd gave them a standing ovation.

This was a big move for the show, and proves that the show will continue to be nothing but successful.
