Thelo Green gives the fiends what the need
After closing out 2013 with his Polo Sporting Goods collaboration project with Retch, Chicago based producer Thelonious Martin has been making waves all through 2014. Standout work on Curren$y’s Drive In Theatre mixtape and unique remix’s like “Move That Dope” & “Wrist” have made Martin a constantly talked about, sought after and highly respected producer, so much so that he ended up in the month’s ‘Power 30/Source360 Issue’ of The Source Magazine.
His new Wünderkid album is due out December 2nd and features a ridiculous list of feature artists, many of which Martin has worked with in the past and others for the first time. we got a chance to hear some of the early versions of tracks featured on it and trust us, its highly flammable.
ab-soul, dza, retch, mac miller, domo, curren$y, michael christmas, topaz jones, saint ross, nylo, k-sra, joey purp, all on #Wünderkid

This is not the first time Mac Miller & Thelonious Martin have linked up, they previously collaborated on Pac Div‘s “Black Acura” .

Its about that time
When Meek Mill was arrested and jailed earlier this summer for a “parole violation”, Hip-Hop went up in arms. He was right in the middle of what was shaping up to be a great sophomore album roll out–“Off The Corner”, “I Don’t Know”, “They Don’t Love You No More”–but this current jail stint will push Dreams Worth More Than Money at least into the final couple months of the year, if not 2015. That being said, it’s refreshing to have some new Meek music, and although its merely an unreleased track, the Philly rep has a new banger on the internet.
“I Like It” was clearly meant to be a club banger, and the feature couldn’t be any more left field than Mac Miller. Still, both East Coast reps slay the hard-hitting instrumental, and it isn’t the first time. Meek and Mac–say that 5 times fast–previously collaborated on the remix to one of Meek’s early hits, “House Party”.
At the time of his arrest, authorities suspected Meek Mill would be released in September. Well, here we are. Here’s to a pre-October release.

A score of beautiful, scantily dressed women and a pile of hundred dollar bills have a way of coming together to make any video or song compelling. Apparently Top Dawg Entertainment got the memo, choosing to capitalize on it in Ab-Soul’s new video, “Hunnid Stax”. The track deals with the issues of excesses and leading a rock star life, which makes it a perfect soundtrack for these desired images. Schoolboy Q and Mac Miller are both present, with the latter taking charge of the hook and separated from the other emcees. Soul and Q traded verses, while partying with a number of celebrities and models, who are enjoying a rain storm of hundreds or pancakes. It is an interesting video to say the least, made better by its overall message. Check it out above.

Miami emcee Stu Cat recently released the first drop, Suck It, off of his and Teddy Roxpin‘s upcoming collaborative EP,Toast To The Game. The project is slated to come out on June 24th via Leedz Edutainment. It will feature a wide range of lyrical geniuses including Action Bronson, Tayyib Ali, Phil Ade and Michael Christmas.
The video for Suck It is rather creative (and graphic), following Stu strolling throughout the streets, into the studio and even to him taking on a therapist role (sort of). Great cuts, angles and smoke flow shadows bring his forceful flow to life while Roxpin’s perfectly fitting instrumental slide into the backdrop.
Stu Cat has been making a name for himself for a few years now and, as of late, has caught the attention of a much larger audience. With a stacked performance resume and working alongside Mac Miller-producer Teddy Roxpin, it will be exciting to see how his full album impacts listeners, both old and new. Watch the new video for Suck It, below and be sure to stay tuned for an updated release date.
