Young Lex Is Pushing Boston Hip Hop

Young L3x is a versatile rapper and songwriter hailing from Boston. He prides himself on making music for all crowds, which can easily be seen with a quick listen through his SoundCloud. Boston has been pushing the hip hop scene over the past few years with artists like Cousin Stizz dropping so it’s good to see more artists making their moves.

He has been influenced by many different artists and types of music having been making music for over 10 years now. Originally, he got into music as an escape to be able to start expressing thoughts and feelings. It was a good outlet from the rough upbringing he experienced. Because of this his music represents what’s going on in the world today. He focuses on making great songs that people can relate to. His music is filled with substance and great lyrics. He prides himself on being able to make all type of hip hop records whether its club songs, street rap, pop songs, r&b songs, positive songs or back-pack rap.

He has a new project dropping later this month called “If It Never Happens” so be sure to look out for it.

Watch: Boston’s Cousin Stizz Drops Visuals for “Bonds”

Cousin Stizz, whose star is steadily rising out of Boston under the management of Tim Larew and Goodwin, may be one of the most heavily anticipated next-to-blow rappers on the scene right now.  After all, it isn’t every up & comer who can say Drake adopted their flows for his own use.  On “Bonds,” Stizz’s characteristic cadence pairs nicely with the almost hypnotic production from Lil Rich.  The gritty, raw visuals, directed by Goodwin, compliment the darkly-nuanced beat exceptionally well, while simultaneously putting on for Boston.

Watch it above, and keep an eye out for his upcoming project, Suffolk County, dropping soon.
