The late N.W.A rapper Eazy E was recently remembered due to the fact that the biopic Straight Outta Compton shed light on his early influence in Hip Hop.
VIBE Magazine dug beneath the surface of the biopic and uncovered some details from the rapper’s son in the most recent feature titled, “Eazy-E: The Ruthless Life Of An American Gangsta.”
Lil Eazy wants to set the record straight. Yes, he is appreciative of the good will that his father and N.W.A. have generated with the release of the Straight Outta Compton movie. He is tickled with irony that Oprah Winfrey, a noted opponent of gangsta rap, lauded Straight Outta Compton on Twitter, calling the film “powerful.” Lil E never forgets. “There has been a blatant level of disrespect for my father in the music business,” he states in a serious tone. “It’s a long time coming, but people are finally acknowledging who he was and what he did for this game.” Lil E says he plans to release a mixtape entitled Yellow Brick Road To Compton, an obvious tribute to his father who recited the very same line in the N.W.A. single “Appetite For Destruction,” as well as an Eazy-E documentary, alongside Tomica Woods-Wright. “I just want to reconnect with my father’s Ruthless Records legacy,” he says.
VIBE also said that getting in contact with the rapper’s widow, Tomica Woods-Wright was difficult due to scheduling and her silence pertaining to the biopic is taken by surprise because she’s known to be fiercely protective of her husband’s legacy. So maybe we can take her silence positively as in she has nothing to defend because she was satisfied at her husband’s depiction in the film.
Lil Wayne is hosting a festival in his hometown New Orleans called the Lil Weezyana Fest. This will be Wayne’s first reunion with his 90s music group, Hot Boys, who include Juvenile, B.G., and Turk. However, due to B.G.’s incarceration, Mannie Fresh looks like he will substitute. All further details of the festival have been kept under wraps until now.
The concert will be streamed exclusively on Tidal. Birdman was unhappy that Tidal streamed the Free Weezy Album, so what does it mean for the legal battle that Tidal will also exclusively stream Wayne’s musical festival?
The festival is scheduled for August 28th and will benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Here’s the flyer that Tidal posted on Instagram:
A month after threatening owners to shut down the site, hackers fulfill their promise
Making good on a threat issued a month ago, hackers compromised the data of popular cheating website, Ashley Madison yesterday. Account details, email info, addresses, login information, names and other information were published on the site yesterday, exposing some of the 32 million users of the site that brands itself as “the premiere site for married men to find the perfect affair partner”. Avid Life Media, who own the Toronto based site, have now confirmed that hackers did compromise their data.
36 million accounts and 33 emails addresses all got caught up in the hacking scandal. The hackers who identify themselves as “The Impact Team” posted a message stating,
“Avid Life Media has failed to take down Ashley Madison. We have explained the fraud, deceit and stupidity of ALM and their members. Now everyone gets to see their data.”
Ashley Madison Reps have confirmed the compromise and are condemning the attack that is being investigated. “This event is not an act of hacktivism, it is an act of criminality. It is an illegal action against the individual members of AshleyMadison.com, as well as any freethinking people who choose to engage in fully lawful online activities.”
In terms of privacy, and the increase in web hacking, Tech Expert, Jason Murdock of Murdock Technology says that all websites are susceptible to being compromised. “Internet security in IT is always a major issue for most websites and businesses. Constant monitoring through intrusion detection systems and closing any holes that can be exploited is always recommended.”
the Next Friday comedian get caught out there by his wife fishing for side pieces on Twitter
If we’ve learned one thing from using Twitter it’s that there’s an art to sliding into someone’s DMs. As some men talk themselves in the direct messages of beautiful women, comedian Mike Epps is crashing and burning.
Mike Epps, who is married and has four children, was caught by his wife trying to get a female follower to take their conversation to direct messages. Needless to say Mechelle Epps was having none of it.
The 44-year-old comedian and actor initiated a public conversation with a woman named @CeciCitra, asking why she chose to leave Instagram.
“Not anymore. Wasn’t getting the likes I deserve,” the woman responded.
Mike Epps then tried to get @CeciCitra to take their conversation to his direct messages. Mechelle Epps jumped in the conversation with the lurking eyes emoji and shut her husband’s virtual flirting down.
About an hour after Mechelle Epps put her famous husband on blast, @CeciCitra posted a screenshot of Mike Epps’ profile stating she was blocked. Along with the photo, she tweeted, “I. Am. Weak.”
Once Twitter caught wind of the embarrassing predicament Mike Epps was in, they roasted him accordingly.
Listen to Karrine “Superhead” Steffans give her two cents in an interview with DJ Vlad on the Meek Mill vs. Drake rap beef and even goes into into detail about how Drake actually wrote some of his boss Lil Wayne‘s lyrics .Her analysis? “Most of these artists aren’t that talented.”
50 Cent is known for lots of things, sure, but in 2015, his prowess on social media is undeniable. Whenever something controversial happens, like Puff going Rambo on his son’s football coach, or Drake vs Meek Mill, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper is right there, armed with a 15-second clip that could easily earn him a spot on Saturday Night Live.
This time around, 50’s got his G-Unit brethren, Tony Yayo, is the brunt of the joke. Above, for an unbeknownst reason, Fif grabs Yayo, and throws him into some nearby bushes. Hilarious.
