Source Sports Throwback Thursday: 23rd Anniversary Of The Legendary Shrug Game

His Airness lit up Portland for 35 points in the first half of Game 1 of the 1992 NBA Finals

As we are just minutes away from tip off of the 2015 NBA Finals, The Source Sports pays homage to the G.O.A. T. known as Michael Jordan. On this day 23 years ago, Mike did the unthinkable and added a classic performance to his legendary legacy. Jordan set a new NBA Finals record for the most points scored in a half by putting up 35 first half points against Clyde Drexler‘s Portland Trailblazers in front of a sold out crowd in Chicago. Jordan was able to hit 6 first half three pointers, a finals record at the time. Here’s a classic throwback clip of him showcasing the legendary shrug after his 6th three swished through the net.

The Bulls went on to win Game 1 with the score of 122-89. MJ finished with 39 points. The Bulls went on to win the series in 6 games as Jordan was able to successfully add title #2 under his young legendary legacy. Big shout outs to Michael Jeffrey Jordan whose impact on the game of basketball will forever remain the blueprint of the game should be played. Nothing but full force passion, skill and dominance.
